Chalisgaon, 1971 to 2026

A legacy of healthcare, continued

Some journeys begin with a vision. Ours began with a commitment to serve.

It began with a family doctor's promise

Dr. B. N. Pawar, MBBS, general physician.
45 years of practice at Pawar Hospital, Chalisgaon.

In 1971, Dr. B. N. Pawar, MBBS, a general physician, began his medical practice in Chalisgaon through his small Pawar Hospital. For 45 years, he served the people of the community with sincerity, integrity and compassion.

His practice was built not merely on medical care, but on trust, personal relationships and a commitment to the community.

That legacy became the foundation of Dr. Anupkumar Parmar's own journey in diagnostic imaging — and of everything Photon Imaging is today.

One legacy, three chapters

The names and technologies have changed. The commitment has not.

  1. Since 1971

    Pawar Hospital

Dr. B. N. Pawar's general practice — medicine built on trust and personal relationships.

  2. Since 2004

    Pawar Diagnostic Center

The town's first dedicated radiology clinic, growing into an all-modality imaging centre.

  3. Since 2025

    Photon Imaging Pvt Ltd

A professionally structured imaging company, now with 3T AI-enabled MRI.

From 1971 to the future

Each step brought newer imaging technology to our community, while keeping diagnostic services accessible and patient-centred.

  1. 1971: Pawar Hospital opens

Dr. B. N. Pawar, MBBS, begins his general practice in Chalisgaon. For 45 years he serves the community with sincerity, integrity and compassion.

  2. 2004: Pawar Diagnostic Center

Dr. Anupkumar Parmar (MBBS, DMRD, DNB Radiodiagnosis) begins his radiology practice with a Colour Doppler system and a conventional X-ray unit.

First dedicated radiology clinic in town
  3. 2008: Digital X-ray

A digital X-ray system is introduced for faster, clearer imaging.

First of its kind in town
  4. 2010: CT scanning arrives

A single-slice CT scanner takes our diagnostic capabilities a significant step forward.

  5. 2011: Second Colour Doppler

A second Colour Doppler system is added in response to growing patient needs.

  6. 2016: A new centre, and MRI

We move to a spacious, newly constructed building owned by Dr. Payal Parmar and Dr. Anupkumar Parmar, and install a 0.3T permanent-magnet MRI system.

  7. 2017: An all-modality centre

Mammography, OPG and a third Colour Doppler system are added, offering a broad range of imaging services under one roof.

  8. 2021: 32-slice CT

Our CT facility is upgraded to 32 slices — invaluable during COVID-19, when CT became central to assessing and managing many patients.

  9. 2025: Photon Imaging Pvt Ltd

Dr. Payal Parmar and Dr. Anupkumar Parmar establish the company. CT, MRI, OPG, Mammography and X-ray services transition into it.

  10. 2026: 3T AI-enabled MRI

A high-speed 51-channel, 3T AI-enabled MRI system is installed — our biggest technological leap yet.

    The next chapter

How far the technology has come

We have always moved forward with technology while staying grounded in the values we began with.

2016
0.3 Tesla
2026
3 Tesla

CT slices per rotation

2010
1 slice
2021
32 slices

Technology matters, but its true value lies in how it helps us serve patients.
A belief reinforced during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our 32-slice CT became part of caring for so many

A family journey

This journey has never belonged to one person. Dr. Payal Parmar has played an important role throughout the evolution of our centre — her support and involvement in the administration and management of the practice have been integral to its growth.

Together, Dr. Anupkumar Parmar and Dr. Payal Parmar have built upon the foundation laid by Dr. B. N. Pawar, and are taking it forward for the next generation.

For us, healthcare is not simply a business. It is a responsibility inherited from the past and carried forward into the future.

  • Serve with sincerityThe same commitment to our community that began in 1971.
  • Embrace meaningful technologyNew systems chosen for what they do for patients.
  • Quality that stays affordableAdvanced imaging without putting it out of reach.
  • Worthy of your trustFor every patient and every referring doctor.

Pawar Diagnostic Center was a chapter.

Photon Imaging is the next one.

The journey continues — with the same values, and the most advanced imaging we have ever offered.
